Books with DVD-style special features
Penguin has announced that its ebook release of Pride and Prejudice will features a bunch of special features, including:
“recipes from the era, copies of the book’s first reviews, and a primer on social etiquette circa 1813”
and
“rules of period dancing, and illustrations of fashion, home decor, and architecture”
The Tools of Change blog is none too impressed, saying that the way to promote the ebook format is to offer something that takes advantage of the medium, not just more inferior text.
